About SSF | Words of Affirmation

I highly recommend David Filson and his new teaching fellowship. David has the rare combination of an informed mind and an inflamed heart as a communicator of Biblical truth and the Gospel. I strongly encourage your participation in this new teaching ministry offered to men and women in the Greater Nashville Area.

Pastor Scotty Smith, Christ Community Church

I believe strongly in lay theological education. Today there is a tremendous need for God's people to know what they believe and why. How do we achieve this? in study centers where dedicated Christians can gather to learn, ask hard questions, and receive guidance as to how to answer their questions. In a word, what is needed is instruction on how to think Christianly in a post-Christian society.

David Filson is well qualified to direct such a study center. An honors graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary, David has two passions: to learn God's truth and to communicate is the people in churches who are hungry to learn.

I am delighted that this is coming to pass. I commend David to potential students as a man of God with a love for the Scriptures, the Reformed faith, and God's people. He is a capable scholar and teacher, whose zeal for the truth will captivate his students.

Dr. Robert Peterson, Professor of Systematic Theology, Covenant Theological Seminary

The Stockbridge Study Fellowship will help to meet a great need by bringing together faith and learning. Jonathan Edwards once said that theology is the trade of every Christian and it is important for us to know our business.

Dr. David Calhoun, Professor of Church History, Covenant Theological Seminary
